We take care of all your transfers to and from San Blas. Simply let us know your pickup or drop-off location in or around Panama City — or directly at Tocumen International Airport if your flight arrives before 10:00 AM.
Road Transfers to and from San Blas:
The cost is $75 per person (one way) and includes the 4×4 road transfer and the water taxi to reach your catamaran’s anchorage point in San Blas.
Please note: Upon arrival at the San Blas border, a mandatory $20 per guest entry tax is collected by the Guna authorities, plus a $2 per person port fee.

- Crew: A captain and a cook (2 crew members total; a third crew member may be added if necessary).

- Entry Tax: A mandatory entry tax of $20 per person is payable to the indigenous community. Residents pay $5, and an additional $2 port use fee applies for those arriving via road transfer.
- Personal Purchases and Activities: Any items purchased by guests or activities outside of those offered on the catamaran are not included.

You have the flexibility to choose the number of nights you want to book. However, we recommend a minimum of 5 nights to fully explore breathtaking locations like the Dutch Cays and Coco Bandero Cays. Please note that our minimum stay requirements are 6 nights during Christmas and 4 nights during Easter.

For guests arriving by air transfer, the catamaran will be conveniently positioned right next to the airstrip. You can easily board the vessel with a quick 2-minute water taxi ride, setting off on your cruise shortly after. The breathtaking Cayo Coco Bandero is just a 30-minute sail away.
If you’re coming by road from Panama City, you’ll arrive at Carti, the port of San Blas. Here, you’ll board the water taxi arranged by your transfer company for approximately a 40-minute ride to the catamaran, which will be anchored at Cayo Limon or one of the picturesque islands in the Dutch Cays.

Personal Tax Fees: Non-residents must pay a tax fee of $20, while Panamanian residents pay $5. This payment must be made in cash, as credit cards are not accepted in San Blas. If you’re traveling from the U.S. or another country using U.S. dollars, you won’t need to exchange currency, as the U.S. dollar is the official currency in Panama and is widely accepted in San Blas.

How to Reserve

Secure Your Dates
Our catamarans are in high demand, and dates can fill up quickly. To secure your trip, you’ll receive an email with payment instructions for a 30% deposit.
For reservations during Christmas, Easter, or major holidays, a 60% deposit is required.
Payment Options
The remaining balance can be settled in cash upon boarding or via bank transfer 15 days before departure.
Credit Card Use: Unfortunately, credit cards are not accepted in San Blas. There are no banks or ATMs available, and neither the catamarans nor the few bars on the islands have payment terminals. You can pay for your yacht charter reservation with a credit card, but once aboard, you’ll need to rely on cash for any expenses.
Currency: If you’re arriving from the United States or any country that uses USD, you won’t need to exchange your money since the dollar is legal tender in Panama. It’s widely accepted for everyday transactions in San Blas.
If you’re carrying euros, keep in mind that they are rarely accepted, and if they are, the exchange rate will likely be around 1 USD = 1 Euro, resulting in a significant loss.
Exchanging Currency: Changing foreign currencies can be difficult in Panama. While you can exchange money at Banco Nacional, it may not be conveniently located. An alternative option is to exchange currency at Tocumen International Airport.

Trip cancellation insurance ensures you’re fully reimbursed for any lost deposits.
Tipping on a catamaran charter typically ranges from 5% to 15%, depending on the quality of service you receive. The amount is entirely at your discretion, based on how much the captain and cook have contributed to making your trip exceptional.
